Mantle is a private household assistant that one family runs on its own computer. It isn't a public service, and it has no users outside that family. This page explains what it does with Google data for the family members who connect their accounts.

What Mantle does with Google data

Mantle uses this data only to do these things for the family. It doesn't sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Where it's kept

What Mantle keeps is stored on the family's own computer, in a private database that isn't reachable from the public internet. Google sign-in tokens are encrypted there. Events, tasks and files it writes to Google stay in that family's Google accounts.

Who else receives it

To answer requests, Mantle sends the relevant data, which can include the text of email, events and files, to its AI providers:

Neither provider trains its models on this data, under its API terms. Mantle shares it with no one else.

Who in the family can see it

Anything sent or forwarded to the family's Mantle address is shared with the whole family.

A parent can't read another parent's chat with Mantle, though parents can review a caregiver's. Parents can see Mantle's activity log, which records what it changed, such as the title of an event on someone's own calendar, and any proposal waiting for approval. Since November 2026 the log doesn't keep the text of mail or files Mantle reads for someone. The household's admin can also see the notices Mantle sends to other family members.

Disconnecting and deleting

Anyone can disconnect their Google account in the app, and Mantle stops using it. To remove Mantle's access on Google's side too, use your Google account permissions page. What Mantle already saved stays on the family's computer until the family deletes it.
